To answer your very crudely asked question, I would say that the problem very simply put as to why "Men" didn't prevent 'the Takeover" is because "Men" tend to rely on logic & direct observation in the moment.

Detecting and defending against a deceptive power that relies on covert processes that achieve their objection requires a sharpened intuition in regards to human psychology and observation in the aggregate - these are feminine traits.

You've gotta realize that evil, manipulative men are the ones who started all this to begin with.

So it's not so simple as men stepping up and putting women in their place, as you're alluding to.
