Most instances of moving trees are the earth underneath moving in a landslide. It's pretty simple and they have it on camera in science docs.

There is at least one South American tree that actually "moves" itself a few inches per day.

There are plants that move, but WALK is a whole other thing. The Prayer Plant moves right in front of you in the evening you can watch it. If you've never had one and don't believe me, invest the 15 bucks to buy one and see for yourself.
