LIVE! Brooks Falls Bears, Getting active Now.

It's been insane for the past week,and it's climaxing right now.

Most of the 40+ bears will leave the falls in 2 weeks and come back in September.

Here are some other views.

You can go back 12 hours on all of them.

You still got to time to use the rewind to see 6 of the largest currently living brown bears all on the screen at the same time.

The past 12 hours(and last week) have been the most amazing thing happening currently in the natural world.

I've been watching this shit for 7 years,and I've learned a ton about it.

What kind of fish are they ?

Sockeye salmon,also called red salmon because after they spawn they turn a real bright red.

The past few years there has also been good runs of silver salmon,also called coho or silvers.

The sockeyes average about 6 lbs.

They range from 5 to 12 lbs.

Hence the monkeypox

Right now on the cam view that the OP posted you're seeing bats,birds,insects,and fish trying to ascend the falls.

They got some kind of infrared/night vison equipment a couple years ago.

It's absolutely pitch dark there right now - 2AM.

You'd see nothing if they didn't have that special night vision tech.

It's a trip that some bears are still fishing.

Over the next couple hours there's a chance to see a wolf or 2 sneak in and grab some fish scraps.

For the past little while they have gotten excellent coverage(the best I've seen) of a wolf fishing at 2AM within feet of bears.

Whoever is working that camera is doing an awesome job.

at times they seem to work as a team with the old one down in the water jumping around making the fish jump and the ones on top grab the trout...

Pansy, Soy fish can't jump the falls so they'll be picked off before procreating.

Sorry to interrupt the Bear talk, but there's more fish than Bears right now and I'm finding myself rooting for the fish to jump higher and time their jumps better.
