So I hate pulling this card but I'm a decently smart guy myself (nowhere near 200 IQ but somewhere between 120 and 140) and because of that I see things and connections other people don't see then have to spend days working my way backwards to baby step people towards seeing what I see.

But I'm not very good at it and mostly come off as crazy even to the people who have seen me consistently nail predictions for years or decades...

It's incredibly lonely, depressing, and more often than not unhelpful to everyone including me.

Being smart and even being 200 steps ahead of only helpful or useful if you can successfully translate that into real world actionable intelligence.

Raw intelligence isn't even all that neat of a party trick, the only thing that matters is ACTIONABLE INTELLIGENCE!

IQ does measure intelligence and it's even a good tool but it's nowhere near the whole story nor is it a reason to feel superior much less act superior much less brag about.

Like I said at the beginning, according to multiple tests I'm substantially smarter than a lot of people or something but you wouldn't know it by the outcomes I have had personally or even my impact on the world sadly.

Ultimately like everyone I'd like to be successful and desperately crave an opportunity to leave my mark on the world, to do something worth being known or lauded for.

My advice would be to focus less on intelligence and focus more on finding people who share your values, goals, and motivations to make those goals a reality.

I'll let you in on a little secret. My IQ was 137 when I was 10 years old.

When I was 17, my civics teacher asked me to help a fellow student write his term paper so that he could graduate. That student's IQ was 155.

IQ is just a number. Without insight, creativity, desire, and knowledge of societal structure, a high number may well not be useful. Coming on this board effusing (espousing if your 200 IQ guys are unfamiliar) such a claim as yours has no beneficial purpose to society. Having great IQ can illuminate or elucidate; not having or worse, not using, can only invalidate, as time, effort, credibility waste away.

Me: Drop out who intermittently drops in. Middle-aged, recently found out my IQ was tested at 156 Weschler as a kid and that this was hidden from me. Four very high IQs in my immediate family.

My highest abilities are not really in areas easily tested. IQ-type questions don't go there. But move me into visio-spatial/art, dynamic problem solving, big-picture conceptual-type thinking, situational awareness, proprioception, reading people groups, etc. and I'm in my element.

I have an unusual story actually.
