I assume you've restarted the computer. If it's a USB wired keyboard, try plugging it into a different USB port. If it's wireless, try changing the batteries or move the receiver to a different plug. Last thing to try is connect it to a different computer and see if it acts the same way. If it does, time for a new keyboard.

Keyboards rarely go bad, unless something is spilled on them, but it does happen occasionally. You can call me if you want help troubleshooting it.

There you go! It's working ok now. I turned it off for several hours. Maybe the battery is starting to go. The charge only lasts about an hour these days. Mr. TB just had his replaced a few weeks ago.

It was very weird, knowing what key I typed and seeing a totally different letter show up! LOL

along with what RIFF said bout the banking. it won't b just the banks that go down. stores will refuse to accept cards of any kind. and that can happen even if the banks don't go down. with the war and everything globally interconnected,l it is hard to know what will get sanctioned by whom.

once anything like that happens, cash will b king for a short while. hopefully we can judge if it is going to b permanent or just a short term situation.

Surprised it took this long considering ME tensions.

I was surprised that ours was actually going down for a couple of weeks. We got down to about $3.00/gal or so, depending on where you went. Sam's was a bit cheaper. Last night, it was almost 3.40/gal.

Glad we don't have to drive as much anymore.

I'm looking for some advice about getting a tablet. Never used one, but it might be good to use during dialysis...maybe. Not sure about the rules, but I want to listen to music with it mostly. I don't want a lot of gear to haul around.

Google Pixel Tablet. Pure Android operating system with none of the usual bloatware put on by Samsung and others. I use the Google Pixel 7 Pro for my phone.

Avoid Lenovo, Amazon Fire, iPad, and any Windows tablet.

I 2nd a straight Android tablet like a Pixel.

I've used Nexus/Pixel phones since 2013. No bloatware, no 'custom' messaging apps or other apps that can't be removed.

I need to upgrade and was thinking about a Samsung but I honestly feel I would go crazy with all their branding and software after using straight Android for so long.

We've had Samsung phones for quite awhile and most of the time, they're ok. I don't like this last one though, other than the size. There's SO much garbage on it and I can't find a way to delete most of it this time. What's weird is we have the same phone. We got them about a month apart and they're really different from each other. That's another thing for my brainiac to look at for me over Thanksgiving.

Next question. Where do I buy such a tablet? The phone store or somewhere like Best Buy?

I'm working on a list of phone apps that are good to have in SHTF scenarios and that don't require internet access to work. In the event of EMP, chances are actually pretty good your phone will survive unless you have it plugged into a wall charger, at which point it's probably toast. I hope to have that completed by the end of the year and I'll post it for everyone.
