I've read alot of King's books, sorry to say. I quit reading them about 20 years ago when I realized he was using a formula. I finally figured it out when I started predicting the narrative within the first few chapters. Like who was going to die and how. It just became so "predictable" it wasn't any fun anymore. He's no genius. He's an artist. A con artist, lol. Not to mention some of his students have accused him of ripping off their stories. Notice the idiots with the biggest mouths are the ones most compromised. Stephen King is no exception.

It's probably been about that long for both Stern and King for me. Loved your insight into is work and integrity. It would make sense given his strong left support everything since they are big on what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine.

I've never read a King book or seen a King movie and I've never listened to Stern. I don't miss either and feel that I am better off for it.

I'm not a big Steven King fan, but it is hard to not give him some credit.

I think his first three books were

Carrie
The Shining
Salem's Lot.

that's fairly impressive.

I don't think King and Stern are of the same race.
and Stern does not hate his own race.

not sure why King thinks what he does about politics.
Stern simply lacks morals or a soul.

The Stand was pretty good, and the Gunslinger series... but I don't care for him or his politics.

70's to late 80's King was worth reading, his first couple of short story collections are excellent.
Not read him since the mid 90's, as others have mentioned he became samey.
Fuck his politics in general.
