 ...it is helpful to understand how the records of Edison's laboratories and companies were generated during his own lifetime and how the archivists entrusted with their guardianship have subsequently treated them. When the lights went on at the Chicago Worlds Fair Thanks to Edison's light bulb and Tesla's alternating current, hopefully no one like yourself was standing around saying that the correlation between the light switch and the lights coming on did not imply that there was light at night at the Fair. The same can be said when Alexander Graham Bell instructed Watson over the phone, “Mr. Watson, come here; I want you,” and he did, that it was correlation but it did not imply that Watson heard the instruction. If you wish to do studies, have at it. I wish to refill Lakes Powell and Mead, so that's what we are in the process of doing. I'm not a paper pusher. With continued success we will be lake fillers.
