How many solar panels and car batteries do I need to run an AIRFRYER?

It's not just a question of how many, but how long before the batteries are completely drained.

OP batteries are rated in either watt hours or amp hours.

A watt hour is how many watts a battery can discharge in an hour before becoming completely drained.

Watt hours = Amp hours x nominal voltage.

If an air fryer uses 1200watts while it is running, then a 12v 100Ah lifepo4 battery will run a tad under 1 hour at that power draw before dying. Cut that in half for lead acid batteries.

Solar panels needed depends on how much stored energy you need and how fast you want it to charge up.

Just one solar panel and one battery, but it has to be a really really tiny airfryer. If the biggest thing you can fit into it is cornish game hen, you're good to go.

How many watts is your said appliance? Lead acid car batteries are for starting cars, they are not deep cycle.

Even Lead acid deep cycle batts are really heavy. Lipo better and half the weight per amp hour. But you better have a very good quality solar charger, or danger lurks.

Now comes the Inverter...Your appliance needs 120AC @60hz in the US, preferably a pure sine wave as well, can't go cheap here either.

The chosen inverter, solar panels and battery components should at least exceed the target wattage by a min of 20 to 30% preferably 80%. Just an opinion. By the way, the Solar component should be probably at +100% of the target wattage.

There is a loss in the conversion factor from 12VDC to 120VAC sometimes as much as 20% depending on the inverter.

Yes, you know stuff. Lipo's currently can go down to about 20%, but I never go below 30% just because. Call me paranoid. LOL

unless you go with the giant 2-3 volt cells that weigh 500 pounds each.
12 of those for a 24volt system is damm solid! but now you have 6000 pounds of batterys to deal with.

lithium is worth the price. what you get out of the lifespan and just the sheer weight youre not dealing with.

Why won't you go to a solar power website that has calculators to help you figure that out? You would rather come to a fringe conspiracy website for that advice?

Because the real point isn't to find out information, it's to give people the idea that they would not be able to have their normal, current life using modern "green energy" systems.

Instead of air frying, why not use solar ovens? They are cheap and work on any sunny day. Grow trees and use wood to make fire, for the days in the winter when it is too hard to collect enough direct sunlight...

Or, of course, modern nuclear, which is the only viable non-fossil fuel system we have, of course.

We cannot live as we have before. The choice now is, do we challenge old fears of radiation, since they've largely been handled, or do we learn to live without what we have grown used to?

In other words: How bad do you want to use that airfryer?

Let's assume you use the air fryer 20 minutes a day.

That's 1.5kw X .3 of an hour, or 500 watt hours.

A car battery can support around 800 watt hours at high current draw, 1200 watts under low current draw. Typically you don't want to use more than 10% of a car battery in a charging cycle. Deep cycle lead acids do well down to 50% of capacity before being recharged.

So... You would need 4 or 6 car batteries in parallel and around 700 watts daily production of solar power to make it work. That includes losses in the charge controller, batteries, and inverter. Assuming 6 hours of strong sunlight, you would need one 120 watt panel (best get two).

From someone who powers his air fryer on solar. My system is much larger than I described above.

HOW ABOUT A SMALL WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER?

You need a lot of power for that.
