Nobody Seems to Have Noticed
5a
I live in Southeastern Michigan and have done so for more years than I care to remember. This year has been 100% different. We have had slightly less than normal precip and yet the trees are taller and the foliage 150% of that which I have ever seen. Dense is not sufficient to actually describe it. Flowers and other ground plant life absolutely 200% more and taller as well. The only reason I can conclude is INTENSE RADIATION causing these conditions since all the other factors seem to be within past conditions. Anybody else notice this?

I live in the high cold desert and this year my entire property went haywire with weeds past 7 years in a row there was nothing but sand and there hasn't been much precip here either. Cause it's a desert. Central oregon smack dab in the middle

Granted I live in a heavily forested area but that doesn't account for the areas along I94. They are showing the same conditions.

Youngs trees will grow significantly faster than established trees.

Poplar is probably the quickest growing and most notable.

I've been pointing out the unusual rapid growth of trees to peeps.

here in the north, it's really easy to see the new growth in pine and spruce trees.

this year, the trees have grown 2-3 years in one summer.

I'm just going to put the first thing that comes to mind here and I have really no knowledge about this other than the basic idea of some of the elements you mentioned and some alleged pros and cons of their effects.... and stuff
So I'm just going to throw this out there and then I'm a go looking and then I'll be back to check if any of you want to help we can cross things off as to where I'm wrong or even other obvious things that we can exclude.

I am going to assume you're telling the truth only because I have had a silent thought that the bugs are getting bigger year to year, but idk if this is true or recorded, we may have to check....anyway, If it is true, and if the truth of the greenhouse effect is raising the carbon dioxide and if we are losing vegetation in certain areas then that would put more in the air to take up by the remaining plant life and that could increase growth. I say this because the climate change thing (but i don't agree with them on its cause or that there is one aside from a natural cycle of the earth) and their destruction of land and farms to prove their point which isn't about being green.

Re: Nobody Seems to Have Noticed
Think they are also dropping nitrogen/fertilizer on us to counter the trees dying. The trees look sick and weak and nothing going on inside but the ends of the branches are loaded with large hyper dark green leaves. Get really dark green after rain if any comes then it fades. Branches brittle, crack easy, probably cannot take nutrients and all up. Corn is taller then normal for the amount of time it has been growing, tasseled very quick, lot of vegetables flowering, getting the bees but not setting up fruit/veg, over fertilized? The bark of trees is literally toast and then weaked and covered with green algae/fungus so suffocating -

Humans releasing CO2 into the atmosphere is LITERALLY the best thing that could happen to the plants and therefore the animals on this planet.

I totally noticed it!
Its like the rain has miracle grow in it.
My roses are about a foot and a half taller than me and I'm 6 ft tall!

Wtf?!
I've been around for a long time, and have never seen anything like it.

I'm in Portland, OR.

It’s interesting that you say that. I live in Leelanau County (the little finger of Michigan), and all summer long and I have been saying to my wife that it appears that all of the trees/forests seem to be far more lush than what they have ever been in the past.

Incidentally, although we had a rather long and cool spring, this has been one of the best summers I can ever remember, and I have lived here most of my nearly 70 years..

Plants are made of carbon. They used to get carbon from fungal networks. The white man killed off these fungal networks with his man-made chemicals. Now plants must get carbon from the air. There's more carbon in the air than their was when plants got their carbon from fungal networks that tapped deep into the earth to alleviate volcanos of their duties.
