Monarch Butterflies get extinction level call out and no thread | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 79805053 ![]() 07/21/2022 08:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Normal mosquito leaves a little bump, I have those. These latest ones leave a huge welt. I have those too. And they itch a heck of a lot more. I hate this new world being shoved on us by the brain dead. |

It's not 5G. It's much more pedestrian than that. It's massive contamination of the biosphere with pesticides and burning chemical pollution that don't break down. Ever. First they came for the butterflies, and I did nothing because I was not a butterfly... ![]() There is a direct correlation between the neuro-affecting pesticides like fipronil and the bee decline. It is hardly crazy to think it affects other insects as well. It was introduced around this timeframe. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 77610953 ![]() 07/21/2022 08:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I’m so confused. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77610953 I have seen two black and one yellow that I assumed were Monarch Butterflies. They have the same markings but aren’t orange. I haven’t seen any orange ones here in NC. Oh no. The black looking ones are called “red spotted purple admiral”. The yellow ones are called “Eastern tiger swallowtail”. So nope, haven’t seen one Monarch this entire year in central NC. And very few of the ones I have named. |

Sungaze_At_Dawn User ID: 81004338 ![]() 07/21/2022 08:54 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have them in our garden still. Quoting: Sungaze_At_Dawn They like certain flowers. I have sweet williams there, and shasta daisies, also old fashioned bell flowers. But they like sweet. Just like the pollinating bees love dandelions, and they love catnip. Plant them near your cucumbers and melons, and pumpkins squash in pots. Are you suggesting to plant cucurbits with milkweed? I tried that this year with a few melons in my milkweed patch, but the melons are doing much better in a different area. I always plant some nasturtiums with my cukes and melons. I’m super into companion planting and biointensive planting. No, our cucumber patch, not sure if its in the same place as last year. But we used nasturtium in pots, we had dandelions and we had catnip. They were in abundance in the areas with dandelions and catnip. And they don't like squash and cucumbers like other plants, but it works well. Backyard and side yard, with the bees. The Monarch butterfies were in the front yard, with my flowers. The hummingbirds like the flowers in the front, AND especially like the flowers in the back, we have trumpet vine, different bells, and hollyhock. There is plenty of milkweed near my house. It's just been so hot this year. Ain't no sunshine when she's gone...ain't no borderline psychotic emotional outbursts either. Some days you just have to create your own sunshine. |

They let me know when they have arrived. =) We are good on hummingbird’s still. I haven’t seen any normal bee’s in awhile. Years now. I sure hope the Monarch butterfly makes it. I love that creature. Take care of each other. |

Dont worry they just moved south Please remember... Monarch butterflies hatch and move north to hatch the next batch and so on. The last ones to hatch in the north, mostly Canada, they carry all the genetic material for future generations, all the way to Mexico. |
