Monarch Butterflies get extinction level call out and no thread

Plenty of weaponized mosquitos though.
Normal mosquito leaves a little bump, I have those.
These latest ones leave a huge welt. I have those too.
And they itch a heck of a lot more.
I hate this new world being shoved on us by the brain dead.

There is a direct correlation between the neuro-affecting pesticides like fipronil and the bee decline. It is hardly crazy to think it affects other insects as well. It was introduced around this timeframe.

I live just east of Seattle. We NEVER get monarch butterflies, or at least I haven't seen any in the 22+ years of living here.

Now, I've seen 4 this year. That is kind of strange

The black looking ones are called “red spotted purple admiral”.

The yellow ones are called “Eastern tiger swallowtail”.

So nope, haven’t seen one Monarch this entire year in central NC.

And very few of the ones I have named.

Sounds like the magnetic field is off and the butterflies are being led in different directions.

if you live long enough you will go through a couple of these "lean" cycles ... then there will be "more than ever" - then the next time you read about them they are "on the verge of extinction" ... again

learn to trust nature, if they didn't serve a purpose they wouldn't exist

I dont mind butterfiles but kill off all the maneaters like grizzlies, big sharks, crocs, etc. Their time has past.

Lots of native wildflowers are going extinct, part of the reason. Plant Butterfly Milkweed Asclepias that are native in your area.
Plant A LOT of them, seeds or plants. Start seeds soon as they need to be stratified, so that they are ready for spring transplanting. I do a patch every year and love it.

uh? I have to stop the mower to keep from mowing them over all the time. Yard is half grass, half clover.

Same here....southern Commiefornia...we'll see if we get the normal migration that hits in August...three days of butterflies everywhere heading north....

No, our cucumber patch, not sure if its in the same place as last year. But we used nasturtium in pots, we had dandelions and we had catnip. They were in abundance in the areas with dandelions and catnip. And they don't like squash and cucumbers like other plants, but it works well. Backyard and side yard, with the bees.

The Monarch butterfies were in the front yard, with my flowers.



The hummingbirds like the flowers in the front, AND especially like the flowers in the back, we have trumpet vine, different bells, and hollyhock.

I am the one at extinction level.

I see them here in Southwest Florida every morning that I'm outside working in my yard. Milkweed grows all over the area I live, so they are a very common sight. I also have quite a few plants that are butterfly attractors also. We actually had a frost here over the winter so they were gone for a couple of months but almost back to normal numbers.

I have been hand raising monarchs the last two years and this is about the time I start seeing them. There is plenty of milkweed near my house. It's just been so hot this year.

pesticides, 5g, chemtrails, etc. Goodjob liberals, ya did it again.

Milkweed.leave a space in yard if they grow.

Roundup.State sprays it everywhere. So do power companies.

Listen, we need to talk about more important issues ie, race, sexual identity, sexual orientation and baby killing mkay?

We have hummingbird’s here in Utah.
They come back every year.
They let me know when they have arrived.
=)
We are good on hummingbird’s still.

I haven’t seen any normal bee’s in awhile.
Years now.

I sure hope the Monarch butterfly makes it.
I love that creature.

Please remember...
Monarch butterflies hatch and move north to hatch the next batch and so on.
The last ones to hatch in the north, mostly Canada, they carry all the genetic material for future generations, all the way to Mexico.

Just because they say it does not make it so.
