He was the fist giant pr science guy. All of “his” work has been discredited and isn’t correct. Your welcome! It seems to me the most intelligent man in the world would know how to tie his own shoes, bathe or comb his hair. HE DID NOT. It seems to me that a man who seeks employment as a patent clerk has a little ways to go before I will believe he is the most brilliant man who ever lived. |

Solar garbage wont survive and you sure wont have gas or propane to power your generator forever. Water is really the one thing you'll need. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 80949095 I plan on selling water to my neighbors in exchange for their property deeds. I will end up the white poet warlord of the neighborhood. Solar panels and related equipment will survive a CME just fine, thanks. Sorry, but you won’t be able to profit off your neighbor’s misfortune. Creep. Oh honey. It's cute you think your solar equipment would survive a carrington event. The panels might if they aren't grid tied, but all your charge controllers etc will be fried. How do you plan on soldiering in new components? Do you think Amazon will be delivering you spare parts? Twit. You sound like my arrogant neighbors. I hope someone in your neighborhood takes advantage of your hubris and stupidity. I'm gonna make a killing. None of them have any tools, food, water, guns or ammo in reserve. I've warned them a hundred times and like you they stupidly place their faith and trust in technology while I'm over here growing my own rye and wheat. Better wake up dude. Soldering. The word you are looking for is 'soldering'. What the Hell?... |

Similar if internet was taken down - local networks would pop up to fill the void. :DOCSRBAFFLED::redblueLED::DONTBEAPANDEMICS: Only you can stop the fake pandemic for yourself, no one will ever tell you the pandemic is over. Anonymous Coward User ID: 83952789 South Africa 08/02/2022 02:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A perfect solar storm similar to one that slammed into Earth in 1859 would knock out the United States electric grid for four to 10 years if it hit today, an unpublished report from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) indicates. Quoting: Eth84 The 36-page report was posted this month at GovernmentAttic.org, which uncovers old government documents that often are acquired via Freedom of Information Act requests. The 2010 document was titled, “Mitigation strategies for FEMA command, control, and communications during and after a solar superstorm.” The storm that hit Earth in 1859 was dubbed the Carrington Event and caught fuck off machines – the most advanced technology of the day – on fire. We have no capacity to come back from a Carrington Event 2.0. |

The digital tracking and surveilance all offline? This sounds like a worst case scenario for the Klaus Schwabs of the world. I wonder if they roll around in bed at night with anxiety, knowing it's just a matter of time before the sun destroys all their plans? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 80786648 United States 08/07/2022 10:29 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My mom lived through a derecho back in 2013. Took out her power for two weeks, but it was just a small regional outage. Quoting: Garman906 The state and local government provided food and water and her neighbor had a generator and several freezers to store food. She had a small propane camp stove to cook or heat food. Thankfully, it was summer so she did not need to heat her house. She made it just fine without electricity, but she survived the depression and was accustomed to not having things. I think if we had a Carrington type event, it would be much worse and on a larger scale, especially since people are soft and dependent on having everything right now. Maryland? That was a wild storm. I live in a pretty populate neighborhood, our side of the road and back got our power wiped for three days during 100+ heat wave. The other side of the road was fine. Luckily my grandparents house had power so we stored what we could there. After a bit, I think my body adjusted to the heat, and I hate the heat and humidity. |

Quoting: Proud Trump Supporter Maybe, but none of our electronics would work, so nothing would be gained. Everything was designed and manufactured with Edison's model in mind. Capacitors will not function with the RF interference inherent in Tesla's model. I did it. I did it on purpose. And I'll do it again. |
