Those little f'ers are slow but they're EXTREMELY maneuverable and can take off and land in less than 200 yards. Think dropping 'things' from low altitude INSIDE a large city from low altitudes.

In Vietnam they used small aircraft as bird dogs, to spot for fighter jets, they can fly slower and stay longer over the battlefield.

Very interesting. Twice in the last few months I have watched a crop duster take off from North Island Naval air base in Coronado, Ca. Of course Coronado is known for it’s Seal training facility. I have been wondering what the heck we would be spraying up and down the Southern California coast. This explains it. Thank you.

Nope, didn’t work. Anyway, the plane in the link, on 2 different occasions(that I saw) flew up the coast to Santa Barbara and then down to Ensenada, Mexico.
