Imagine you know everything possible. Now imagine you are trying to optimize a society for best outcome, along with showing this society rules for optimizing best outcome for itself. Also, in this scenario, you are the supreme God.

Would you not have some brutal shit that needs to get done? You have to crush your enemies completely. You can’t have bastard kids harboring resentment.

When I read these passages, it’s a set of instructions on how to conduct warfare and etc. It might seem cruel or inhumane in today’s time and world, but if these instructions are followed, the it would lead to a better society long term.

That’s why Western culture has been destroyed. We’ve tolerated to much ungodly bs. Should have kept strict Puritan principles and kept burning heretics and witches. Maybe we’d have a better world today.

I’m all for liberty, but it seems Papists and not keeping a religiously homogenous society causes problems.
