Brittney Griner sentenced to 9 years in Russian prison
American basketball star Brittney Griner was sentenced to nine years in prison after being found guilty of drug possession and smuggling in Russian court on Thursday.

Judge Anna Sotnikova said the time Griner has served in custody since her arrest in February would count toward the sentence.

Griner reacted to the sentence with little emotion. She listened to the verdict with a blank stare on her face.

FAFO. When traveling to Saudi Arabia in the early 90's part of the visa application said in BIG RED LETTERS... "I Understand that the Penalty for Drugs is DEATH".

This dumb shit did something really stupid and is paying the price. Don't worry though, Sniffy Joe will pull a rabbit out of his hat in October just before mid-terms, and get her released. Probably will trade a major criminal back to bad Vlad.
