Get a couple of your buddies to move in with you so you can all save money. Put all your bills on budget billing so there are no surprises. sl |

No shame, just pride that you raised a son who loves his parent. Truther, no matter how painful it may be initially. Stay the course. Laugh everyday. Listen to others, truly listen. Even if it takes you awhile to understand where they are coming from. Everyone has a life story. Ask someone what theirs is. Fighter to the core. Never give up, never give in. |

OP, I am 10,000% confident your son is not looking at you with contempt for needing money. He likely feels terrible that you’re in the position you’re in, knowing you made enormous sacrifices for HIS benefit. But whatever you do…. Do not EVER cause him to feel that he is somehow responsible for your situation (even if it’s true). It will alter his psychological foundation for the remainder of his life. As men, we make sacrifices for our children. As men, we take those sacrifices to our grave. I wish you good health and good fortune in your remaining years. . “Mental slavery is the worst form of slavery. It gives you the illusion of freedom, makes you trust, love, and defend your oppressor, while making an enemy of those who are trying to free you or open your eyes.” -Fiyah “None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “You have been programmed to resist the very person that is here to set you free, from the prison of your Mind... You are not free... everything you are has been manufactured by Minds that have not your best interest. You are imprisoned by beliefs and not reality. Religions are mental programs to imprison your Mind.” -SOL |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81953666 THIS IS WHY WE'RE IN SUCH A FUCKED UP POSITION, EVERYONE IS SO FAR OUT OF WHACK FROM THE NORM THAT YOU DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW RELATIONSHIPS WORK. BEFORE THERE WAS INSURANCE THERE WAS FAMILY. Exactly this. By the time this demonic shite is over, we'll know that we only need our families - and big government will be done, it's already abandoned us. |

I'm always ready to take care of my parents, but there's something wrong if they decide to live irresponsibly and guilt trip the children into taking care of them (for decades) so that they can continue being irresponsible A full, healthy relationship with friends, family, anyone should be cherished.. some people are just so selfish they aren't capable |

HairyBarbarian User ID: 83738306 United Kingdom 08/04/2022 09:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A lot of people are experiencing or will be experiencing hardship. Here in the UK gas and electricity are being hiked to double what they were a year ago - petrol has gone up by an extra 70 pence a litre this year - it makes me think this will cause decreased spending as households are forced to pay everything to the power gas/electricity /oil companies forcing recession/ depression - and many businesses will go out of business - many products will no longer be available as necessities become paramount. Quoting: HairyBarbarian The money will be in the hands of the power giants to fill these gaps in the market - and we will all be at their mercy as they monopolise. The more you think it through - the worse it gets. I can't say how accurate the following is, but it is another form/ method of monopolisation by the giants: "...Ambani led group has entered into the distribution business of Pharmaceutical and consumer goods including Staples and FMCG products. This move of theirs will ring a death bell to a majority of business houses who are into distribution business. Here they have applied the same strategy which they used while launching Jio mobile service. First they provide the goods at catchy discounts to retailer's by passing on the huge discount that they gain by direct negotiations with FMCG manufacturers as well as direct procurement of staples from the farmer's. Over the course the current distribution network will collapse and Reliance group will monopolize the segment after which they are going to dictate the price for what every Indian spread on his dining table." [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] The connection here is between staples/ commodities and distribution. The key problem I have with the power supply giants is the connection to power source (and derivative "industry"). HairyBarbarian |

Up until April 2023, they can't take energy debt from benefits - (which means if you owe - it is automatically taken from your benefits) - so, I think at the moment they are capped from increasing energy supply amounts to people on benefits but only up until then - I am not sure exactly. I just think it stinks how we are trapped in a system where they can hike living expenses for basics - then extract the extortion without us being able to do anything or have a say. It's like a horrible trap - and who knows the way out? Over here they can automatically take from wages too - even if it is unfair or contested - and contest in the courts can be very unfair too. It's a horrible trap - everywhere. HairyBarbarian |
