WASHINGTON - Four people were struck by lightning Thursday evening, and are currently in the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries, according to D.C. Fire and EMS.

A spokesperson for D.C. Fire and EMS said they received the call at 6:52 p.m. for a lightning strike at Lafayette Park on the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

I swear driving from Woodville ohio to Toledo I thought my car got struck. I had the window down and I heard hit the ground. I gad to look up if it was possible to get struck in a car and not knowing. It does happen.
