Im definately not a musician. My now wife and I spent 16 months on opposite sides of the planet trying to work towards giving ourselves a shot at old age happiness. We met on an online amateur singing platform.

With the uncertainty of the world blocking our attempts I wrote this song about our situation.

Ps it was worth the wait and the hardship, I crossed the planet and married her.

But I'm a total newbie, I had only gotten my drums a couple of months before recording "Mumbo Jumbo", so I had to fake it a bit. Recorded the hihat separate from the rest. Don't tell anyone! ;-)

I'm starting to get the hang of it though. I think I'll be able to record the drums in one piece for the next song we're working on.

Truth be told, neither of us is particularly good on any instruments, we try to make up for it by making layered arrangements where several simple instrument parts add up to something greater than the sum.

I love to listen to virtuoso performances, but when you can't impress anyone with your skills you have to work around it!
