Remember Marina Butina who was convicted of illegally acting as an agent of Russia inside the United States by developing relationships with U.S. persons and infiltrating organizations having influence in the Republican Party and NRA?
Well, she’s a member of the Russian Duma now in the United Russia party of which Vladimir Putin is the de facto leader.
She also says it’s not ok for Duma members to use proxies to access sites that have been blocked by the Russian state censorship agency.

So you like like the idea of no 1st Amnendment and a nanny state with a State Censorship Agency that decides for you what is goodthink and the Stats owns and operates all the newspapers and TV stations. Added to that, 15 years in prison for publishing crimethink. That’s exactly what Russia has right now. Have you considered defecting? You’d love it. Also I might add, using national media to propagandize, lie to and deceive the citizenry to believe things that would undermine their lives, their families and their country should not be protected by the 1st amendment. It should be a crime. If you translate Russian media sites, there is a hell of a lot more rational thinking and truth than in western media. Pull up your latest google news and 90% of it sounds like it came from the Onion. Russia isn't the USSR and hasn't been for over 3 decades.
