Reportedly, about 15 boxes of records were removed from the White House and shipped to Mar-a-Lago. The National Archives subsequently explained that much of the material should have been kept in the government’s possession, pursuant to the Presidential Records Act. After extensive negotiations, Trump agreed to return some of the materials in January 2022. Upon receipt, National Archives officials advised the Justice Department that the returned materials included classified information.



One of the potential law violations, under Section 2071 of the federal penal code, includes in its penalty provisions that, upon conviction, a defendant “shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.”


Obviously, then, there is speculation that DOJ may be mobilizing now in order to trigger the Section 2071 disqualification.

Thanks for posting that. I agree that it looks like a dirty attempt to disqualify Trump (if that is indeed what you're saying).

I also think it's an attempt by the leftist cabal to protect themselves from prosecution by making any such future prosecution seem like revenge, and by getting the public riled up into a frenzy against prosecuting politicians
(i.e., the 'Hey if you don't want Trump prosecuted then you shouldn't prosecute Biden/Obama/Hillary regardless of how much they deserve it' line of linguistic defense).

How does this alleged crime compare in size/scope/severity/quantity to the alleged crimes of the Biden/Obama/Clinton regime?

It seems clear that, since context matters, we should prosecute Biden/Obama/Clinton for their crimes first, and then view all of Trump's actions throughout and after his presidency in that context.

The FBI showed it's hand with Ruby Ridge in 1992, 30 years ago.

Prior to that they were dirty as shit too, going all the way back to JFK's assassination, and continuing forward through the CIA importing of many tons of drugs through Mena Arkansas, but until Ruby Ridge the corruption of the FBI mostly stayed hidden from the common person.
