My guess is that the VAX contained a Nanoparticle that was capable of responding to a 5G signal with an ID number. We are talking NANOCHIP here. The Vax was Serialized and recorded to your person.

The standard for the mark of the beast is written in Revelation 13. That ancient literal text does not require that the mark be "permanent" or that it "fundamentally change you".
