. Conclusions The phasing of the solar cycles gives a clear message for the middle of the century: there will be a New Grand Solar Minimum [1]. The Arctic ice cover expanded significantly [11]. By 2030-2040 we will be in a New Grand Solar Minimum (cf. Figure 3, Figure 4), which by analogy to past minima must be assumed to lead to a significant climatic deterioration with ice expansion in the Arctic [5] [11]. The mathematical model by Salvador [20] [28] seems to provide an excellent tool for the prediction of future sunspot variations (Figure 5, Figure 6). We now seem to be in possession of quite convergent data, indicating that we by 2030-2040 will be in a New Grand Solar Minimum. This precludes a continual warming as claimed by the IPCC project [45]. Instead of this, we are likely to face a new Little Ice Age (Figure 2). So, when Hunter [54] talked about “Thermageddon: countdown to 2030”, exactly the opposite is likely to by the true climatic shift [34] [55]; viz. a significant cooling, maybe even a Little Ice Age, and by no means any disastrous warming. Consequently, by 2030-2040, it seems most likely that climate reality—a cooling associated with a grand so-lar minimum—will imply a long nose to the IPCC concept [45] and the idea of a thermageddon countdown [54]. It is bonkers, the tunnel vision is absolute. This maunder minimum effect has already been catalogued by the change in Earth speed. Ice age coming.

We had them before but as for their ideas they are worth nothing, the last time was when I was young this was supposed to happen before the year 2000. Are you enjoying the ice age?

Let me tell you what they don't know, they don't know what the minimum of the sun does or how it reacts, they know very little about space itself, and really now they have the problem of finding out the stars and their universes are not expanding and the sizes aren't what they thought and some aren't as far away. Never mind the new photos are supposed to have caused this for them, I hope they just quit while they can save some face. Theories are falling right and left, so their careers based on them are going places it is too hard to hide.

All they have to do is quit turning Theories into full facts because they never are, someone comes along with more information that changes the theories or makes the bigger or trimmed down. start doing real science and you will be much more content.

Yeah I had recently saw some news that scientists are losing sleep at the fact that the only thing that the James Webb had proven is that the big bang never happened.

I guess we know not much.

All this ABSOLUTE fear and certainty of global warming when in reality we still have no idea what is about to happen, with some bits of literature that a cooling VERY likely. To the point of actually having more ice on Earth up to 2053, not less.

On the side of casual digging: If the minimum is starting proper, we'll have the relevant solar data in a couple of years. Based on historical data I wouldn't be particularly worried about it, the "our data is crap" angle you highlighted would be the majority of the problem. Food productivity declines should stay within tolerances simply due to how much excess productive capacity we have. Difficult to say if any other relevant climate effects will screw with us.

Of course, digging deeply into the rabbit hole of solar weather forecasting always butts up against two other major concerns: 1. The Carrington event and the discussion of what that would do to the modern world. 2. The micronova possibility / 12k year cycle / Ben Davidson's thing.

The first one is a simple and terrifying doomsday scenario. A perfect little documented incident to try not to think about as you live your normal life, to justify a little bit of "the world suddenly shut down" prep, and to write disaster recovery manuals about if you work in electrical utilities. At least we hope someone wrote a recovery manual for that sort of thing at some point.

The second is one hell of a rabbit hole. We've got the CIA classifying shit, ties to religious symbolism, academic corruption all over the place, and a whole host of weird stuff that would be explained by the theory, be it the deep underground bunkers or us never going back to the moon or any overly advanced ancient structure and even the fermi paradox. You've got a kinda-imminent doomsday, sun worship... really a 10/10 cult those suspicious observers have going.
