Ok guys, I have always talk to my wife how was life like many years ago?
What did people use for toilet paper?
Where did people go in the cities of the time to take a crap?
What type of clothes did people have? Wool?
What did women use for their monthly period?
What did people use to bush their teeth?
I always wonder how much better was it to live back then vs now.

For the most part it was fucking brutal and horrible. OK the AIR was fresh but ... menstruating women were exiled to caves for a week. Think of getting a tooth ache - NO treatment. No dentists. No painkillers. It abscessed and YOU DIED. If you broke a bone there was no resetting it. If the break interfered with blood flow your limb went black and YOU DIED. That was true whether you were a peasant or a king. ANYTHING went wrong and you died a slow agonizing death. Just to stay alive was torture just to grow/hunt so you didn't starve. There were diseases that wiped out almost everybody. YOU DIED. There was weather that hit with no warning. No weather channel! There were BAD GUYS but no police in fact the bad guys were probably your "rulers" at the time. They'd rape your woman and chop off your head just for a laff!!

Depends on which part of the world. 3000 years ago was in the midst of the 400-year dark age following the Late Bronze Collapse in the Middle East and Mediterranean areas. Not a pleasant time to be alive.

with 50 million people on the planet you had
a bit more elbow room.

50% of children died before puberty

50 years old was very old

what we call "simple infections" today took out most people

wars were the same however
peasants fighting to make the elite richer

As civilizations advanced, so did their plumbing. The Bronze Age city of Lothal, located in what is now India, featured a covered sewer system that emptied into nearby bodies of water or municipal cesspools. Thanks to this technology, every house in the city had an indoor toilet!

These innovations spread throughout the ancient world. Archaeologists have found evidence of plumbing systems in areas stretching from the British Isles to East Asia. And as civilization marched on, plumbing technology advanced more and more.

First of all...3000 years ago 1000BC Populations were relatively small. The Whole World had maybe 50 M people.

And we always see history through the eyes of the elite.

So there were maybe 5 million people in the world who had anything back then. A good 20 million were overwhelmingly still in the stone age. They were living in hunter and gathering tribe. Farming had not begun everywhere in the world back then.

They shit in field and wiped their asses with leaves. They probably didn't brush their teeth. Their average life span was around 30 and there was so little sugar in their diets, they didn't live long enough to suffer much tooth decay.
