San Francisco, Cleveland and Portland have the most deserted downtowns in the US as soaring crime rates in the Democratic cities scare away workers and tourists.

In a recent study by the Institute of Governmental Studies at the University of California Berkeley, San Francisco's downtown area was found to be only 31 percent active over the spring of 2022 when compared to pre-pandemic levels, with Cleveland at 36 percent and Portland at 41 percent.

First hand experience:

Mission St. Is a deserted third world wasteland. Good sushi still though.

Almost everyplace is closed before 10pm, even in the south bay and daly city.

Cashless app based shopping is starting to sneak its way, but is not widespread yet.
And fucking mask tards are everywhere, including by themselves in their cars.

The vibe there is borderline dystopian depressing, really…

Cleveland has it's own unique issues. Haven't been there in like 6 or 7 years, but the rents downtown have been rising for awhile now and the jobs don't pay very much there. Plus, some of the restaurants in the downtown center and in chinatown/asiatown/whatever don't server black americans in a city thats 50% black. And ride your bike on the wrong side of the street and the Metro might grab you and rape you or kill you. And cops that kill kids? Hell no. Cleveland is a unique case.
But, after the pandemic, most downtown areas are kind of deserted with all the workers gone. This can be said for most cities anyway. I don't know where they get their data from..
