Since when has cordless charging been okay?
POLL: Number #1 Rule about Electricity
 It can kill you
It's expensive and you have to pay for it
It follows fundamental principles of Physics
If it's natural we call it LIGHTNING
It's available for FREE in the "empty space" all around us
 All of the above
All of the above with ONE exception (of your choice)
 Blank (View Results)

You know what I mean
Don't you?

When did this start?
I don't recall any Grand Announcement!

"EXTRA" "EXTRA" "READ ALL ABOUT IT"

Electricity no longer needs wires....somehow.

I didn't learn that in high school science.

Oh, I'm sure it's fine with you, you probably know
All about it?
Go on, tell me, how this thing works?
Because up till now, whenever I needed electricity
To power or charge anything....
IT HAD TO BE PLUGGED-IN!

Suddenly, young people are charging their phones
Without being plugged in.
No problem.
Their world is so Sci-Fi fast.....
They didn't even know it was new technology.
Like WoW!
Technology.

Now, tell me why the fuck I need a power-line
Coming to my house?
Hum?
Why can't I just power the place
just like my electric toothbrush?
It's not plugged-in
But it's CHARGING!

Cordless is the only way I can charge my phone now. Stabbing it with a cord no longer works.

Wireless is great.
What's your problem with it?

Exposure to electromagnetic fields of the field strength necessary for inductive charging is neither healthy nor advisable.

Just sayin’...

How does it work?

When did you first use this new "Charging" Technology?

How much bigger or broader can this be done?

My problem with it is....

Where the fuck did it come from and
Why now?

It bugs me.
The same way Einstein and Edison bug the shit outta' me.
Something's not right.
But what is it?
It almost makes me think of
Nikola Tesla?

He's induction challenged...

It's a handicap.

Go easy.

 Quoting: ^TrInItY^

I wouldn't call it challenged per se'.
More like HANDICAPPED!
Really, I took Senior Science
Not AP Physics.

What I do know is rather basic
Just the fundamentals.

Batteries STORE ENERGY
+ & - ions and all that, right?

And when a battery "gives-up" all its 'juice' or electricity
It's empty...
Or is it not?
I don't get it.

Why didn't we do this years ago
If it's so simple?

I bet it has to do with the Lithium
Right?

How do the Lightning BOLTS get from the copper cord...
and if my phone or toothbrush touches it...
It gets FULLY CHARGED.

So, can we do this with Lead Acid Batteries?

Something is different.
Im admittidly a little stupid sumtimes.

Help me please?

This has been a thing for many years now. I think, I maybe wrong, hearing about “charging stations” at airports 10 years ago or so.

10 years was a long time for me when I was 10 years old.
Now, 10 years don't seem like shit.
Damn I'm feeling a little salty tonight.
I'm in the mood.

My 20 year old Sonicare has a wireless charging base, that damn thing is still running strong.

I remember when I bought it, always thought it was cool that there are no electrical contacts on the base..

Even though I know how it works, shit still seems magical..

As for the "Grand announcement" you're looking for, I think that it's been pretty well known for over a century now that magnets can induce electrical current to flow...

So maybe you missed the announcement, 100+ years ago?

We've reached the point now in society where there don't need to be any new advancements in technology.

They'll just show us some 100+ year old invention and say it's brand new, and the idiots won't know any better.

If someone introduced woodgas incinerator generators to the masses now, The dummies would think it's a brand new alien concept.
