Food Expiring and Going Bad Quickly

You're right OP, even cheese that usually lasts for quite a while is going bad very quickly.
Produce barely lasts more than a few days.

For me it’s bananas, got some 3 days ago, the tip were green, now there are overripe.

Happens often.

The world and everything in it, is dying.

As always…birth and death.

yeah, and most everything I get from the stores is tampered with.

things going bad before expiration dates, seals not good, looks like temperatures were not controlled, etc. etc.

and besides that also, just things not being kept fresh in stock...

I'm wondering if the dairy products are getting date stamped after arriving at destination city - but because supply lines have been impacted its taking longer for the dairy to get to some cities - just thinking out loud........

But yes, OP, for several months - our milk has gone bad around a week before it's expiration date and veggies going bad very very quickly.

I'm not saying it's not 5g but it seems to have been going on much longer than that. In the 80s you bought a bag of carrots from the green grocer and they would last around 3 weeks if stored correct. Now within a few days they start getting black patches on them. We had a fruit bowl on the table and it never had mouldy fruit in it you leave fruit out nowadays and it doesn't take long for it to start rotting. The only fresh food that seems to last is homegrown heirloom varieties.
I think alot of it is to do with GMO because when you alter the genetics of something it fucks up the produce and you, case in point wheat, all what is now GMO it is now dwarf wheat genetically altered for faster crops, and this seems to be the source of gluten intolerance.
Look at GMO Dairy cows in the USA where do you think the milk goes most of it is powdered up and put into really unhealthy premade foods and cheap frozen produce.

Get a thermometer that records high and low maximum temperature, place it in your fridge..

Then get it fixed;)

Found that to be true here also.

I went out and bought a temperature sensor to place in the fridge thinking perhaps it is my fridge. Turns out the fridge is still working perfectly.

Only happens with meat. Fruit and vegetables, as well as milk, are fine.

The meat, although not all the time and not all meat, is off two days before the best before date. Shopped at 3 different stores, and the same thing was happening.

I've done that... Did not help. As per my previous post.

I’ve notified it greatly here in the uk.
Our family has to buy a lot of food being discounted heavily by the stores on their expiry date. It used to be that tomatoes would easily ripen a week after buying them on their expiry date but now they are super ripe and sometimes moody on that clearance date. Nearly all produce lasted at least one week or more beyond their ‘sell by’ date but now they don’t.
It’s as if they have either extended that ‘expiry date’ on the produce or it was being held in non normal storage.

Ive had a cabbage in my fridge since May that's still good.

Same thing with long term food storage going around on prepper sites.

My garden fruits and veggies are not going bad quickly. Enough with store bought garbage

damn see like, I got a lemon juice today that had a line as if it dried inside...

but it's not supposed to be like that.

Last week i got 2 coconut waters, and one was off and made me feel weird, the other one "dried inside" so I didn't even open it.

a lot of drnks with bottles that were flat even tho the seals were fine...

Def noticed this too, same with friends. And the big culprit is bananas and milk

Humans need food to live so maybe this spoiling issue should be addressed by our president instead of talking about guys who want to experiment by cutting off their weenies

oh yes the VEGGIES! mine are not even getting eaten because they are decaying at super speed.
i had to throw out an entire head of lettuce yesterday..the insides were all brown and its been happening a lot lately those lettuce heads.
the cucumbers are turning to mush in the fridge.

I can never get good organic sweet onions.. that I stopped buying them.

They are always too mushy on the inside, and molded,

and you'll be cutting layer after layer and finding things in it....

so ive been sticking to yellow onions but those are rare also, least organic.

well I dont have to buy them organic either.

I don't have these problems.. haven't seen a one of them..

Whatever happened to canning fruit.

It must not be happening if you haven't had a problem.

and people also want to deny.. if I brought up all these faulty products it gets to a point nobody believes you because it's always happening, but you're the only one paying attention apparently.

Or people assume that it's just the products im buying, that are SO susceptible to errors that it's my fault I buy them.

and like, it could even be done on purpose.. they could specifically target only a particular group
