First they have to define what a "stare" is. One might think a glance is a stare and have you arrested because you came in and looked about the room to see if anyone was there you knew. And in a dark environment, how is someone to know if you are looking at the clock on the wall behind or them? Sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. But if that business wants to Darwin itself, it's their business.

If you just look at a woman & she or her friends see you look, you could be arrested if she or they don't WANT you to glance thier way. Burka is next for you stupid beaches. Then arranged child marriages.

Well that sounds like a fun place to hang out.... not.

for the only time in my life I wish I were a blind man so I could go to that bar and wait until I was harassed for 'staring without consent'.

At one time in my youth I pulled a random girl from the other side of the room in a club just by staring at her.

Weirdest pickup ever! I just looked at her until she happened to look at me back by pure chance. As soon as she saw me I gave her a surprised smile and a slight nod, as if we just accidentally crossed eyes for no reason ("haha, what a coincidence!"), then I immediately looked away, turned my back on her as if she was of no interest to me whatsoever, and started staring at the door impatiently as if I was waiting for someone. I broke away my eyes from her right as she was about to make an ugly face back at me, so she never got the satisfaction.

Two minutes later she came up to me and initiated a conversation.

I think the key was that I dropped all interest in her in exactly the right microsecond, just as she was about to signal she wasn't interested ("what the fuck are you staring at, creep!").

And that made her interested as fuck! She felt like I dissed her before she could diss me.

No woman can take that! When she came up to talk to me she was fiercely determined to win me to save her own self image as attractive, and I could just let her do the seduction work, and let her work hard for it. I much prefer it that way, being a Lazy Monk by nature.
