Stevia causes insulin response:

So does reading this forum. So does tap water.

Re: Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?
It was banned in 1991 due to cancer-causing effects. Then, just like aspartame and others, it became GRAS.

Suuuuure, it's "safe." One of Stevia's metabolites acts as an endocrine disruptor. Yet, it's in almost every single store-bought "natural" tooth-paste, smoothie/protein mix, "keto" product, and it's sneaking its way into other products that aren't even labeled as sugar free or diet.

Any of you GLPers notice how bad this stuff makes you feel?

Stevia reduces fertility. That’s been known for years. Hell, the native Indians in Paraguay drank it as a contraceptive.

That is why it is being put into so many products. Get the population down by promoting stevia, just like they promote transgenderism and homosexuality, two reproductive dead ends.

Are than any actual conspiracy theorists here on this forum, apart from myself and perhaps a half-dozen others? I seriously wonder. This has been common knowledge among CT’s for at least two decades now.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42762838

That's interesting. I've been reading this site for over a decade and never heard about the stevia conspiracy.

Lol

But it totally explains it if it's a natural contraceptive.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75637816

This site really hasn’t been a conspiracy site for well over ten years, so you’re good and didn’t overlook it… thumbs

Lots of info like that has gone down the memory hole.

When we are small children we read the story about the wolf in sheep's clothing. As we mature we learn that this story applies to more than just sheep and wolves.

Some people don't mature.

Allulose is the best but not as common... Its most closely resembles sugar without triggering the insulin cops. Something I've just discovered.

Theres lots of others now... Erythritol is great, its also a Keto friendly product, derived from sugar alcohol but doesn't metabolize like sugar.

Stevia is concentrated but its cut like cocaine with other things...I am not a fan anymore because I tend to use too much and things become sickeningly sweet. Confectioner stevia is great for baking or for making clean margaritas lol with citrus, plain soda and teaspoon of stevia conf.

You can find brown sugar version of Erythitol.

I read that Stevia was found to be shrinking cancer tumours, and such, and was duly banned.

All the original claims which got it banned in America were refuted.

You are 100% correct. I rather be overweight than take any of those artificial sweeteners.

My father was always on a diet, my mom bought that stuff for him. Of a family 8 siblings and LOTS of nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. My dad was the only one to die of cancer.

I don't know about the US, but here Stevia is replacing aspartame in products that previously used tha later. I would take Stevia any day instead of aspartame. Stevia is a natural product, aspartame is an artificial neurotoxin.

Just because it's natural doesn't mean it's good for you.

There are a lot of poisons in nature.

Sugar alcohols aren't bad for you. If you don't like Stevie use monk fruit and or eurythritol.

Re: Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?
NEVER use ANY new products. As much as humanly possible only use products that your grandparents might have eaten and try to prepare them in a similar way. Any new products are designed to sicken and kill you. That probably includes Stevia.

The only safety is in going back to things as they were in the early 60s or pre 1960. Almost everything new since - new foods or new chemicals or new drugs, etc, is just another type of poison.

Re: Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?
holy shit... thaank you OP, you may have solved my strange "insulin spike" problem.. my doctor told me that I don't "really have diabetis".. yet I continiously experience insulin spikes, and I replaced cane suguar with Stevia.. thinking I would do my health a favor, mainly to sweeten coffee and tea, sometimes when baking a cake..

This is totally fucked up.. that it triggers beta cells of the pancreas.. I can't thank you enough.. I was at a point were I wondered if I can literally eat anything anymore.. LOL, whereas starches would cause bigger spikes then even sugar or alcohol.. incredible info..

It's not artificial and I find it palatable.

I don't care for the taste of aspartame or sucralose though.

Well.. Cocaine is not the same as Coca leaves, same is true about chemically treated Stevia, it's not really "natural".. Stevia plant leaves and Stevia white powder are not one and the same... and I am grateful for OP posting this info, because since a while i suffer from mystery insulin spikes.. that are totally unhealthy and lead to organ damage, though my doctor told me I don't have "the normal diabetes".. go figure!

I read that the Indians used to treat diabetes with it.

It's interesting. Some people find it tastes bitter but to me it never does. Some people have more bitter receptors than others.

We try to use natural Xylitol (from birch trees) or Monk Fruit extract for sweeteners. The latter no longer seems available in the UK - something to do with Chinese toxins I think. I was worried about the anti-fertility effects of Stevia.

I bought seeds to grow Stevia this spring but never got them in the ground. From rareseeds.

Are you saying the plant is bad for you?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75637816

It's about dosage and what parts and when and how you take it.
A lot of plants are neither BAD nor GOOD, just like that.

Extracting compounds only CAN be BAD if taken in certain amounts.
Depends also on way of extraction and where the plant grew up.

Compare it with pfarmaceuticals.
Now you know everything there is to know and goggol CAN be your fwiend.
