Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?

Re: Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?
Sugar feeds cancers and fungus. Stevia is probably the only sweetener my body can handle and it is natural. I have grown it in my garden. Some stevia is highly processed though and most brands include other garbage with it like sucralose. You just have to find a good brand. Personally I wish it was in a lot more products.

Re: Stevia... why is it being forced into every "Natural" product?
It was banned in 1991 due to cancer-causing effects. Then, just like aspartame and others, it became GRAS.

Suuuuure, it's "safe." One of Stevia's metabolites acts as an endocrine disruptor. Yet, it's in almost every single store-bought "natural" tooth-paste, smoothie/protein mix, "keto" product, and it's sneaking its way into other products that aren't even labeled as sugar free or diet.

Any of you GLPers notice how bad this stuff makes you feel?
 Quoting: ktpy

Stevia reduces fertility. That’s been known for years. Hell, the native Indians in Paraguay drank it as a contraceptive.

That is why it is being put into so many products. Get the population down by promoting stevia, just like they promote transgenderism and homosexuality, two reproductive dead ends.

Are than any actual conspiracy theorists here on this forum, apart from myself and perhaps a half-dozen others? I seriously wonder. This has been common knowledge among CT’s for at least two decades now.

That's interesting. I've been reading this site for over a decade and never heard about the stevia conspiracy.

Lol

But it totally explains it if it's a natural contraceptive.

That's because there are no links to these 'studies',
just some idiot spouting off at the mouth.

You're going to have to bring something of substance, instead of just saying, 'stevia is bad'.

Stupid MFers.

Stevia is fine so long as it's organic and you're not buying it with any additives.

You should be more concerned about soy that has literally invaded almost everything you buy at the supermarket, it's GMO infested poison turning men into feminine ghey boys.

What if i told you they tried all the scientific sweeteners only to return to stevia.

Because it's healthy and natural.

Stevia made every bone in my body hurt and ache when I was accidentally exposed to it. I've never felt like that before and won't go near it.

I don't need to 'lose weight' I just need a natural, non-fluoride toothpaste I can buy in a store that DOES NOT have it.

That is because xylitol is a sugar alcohol and it does basically the same thing. It should be avoided as well.

Steviol, the active principle of the stevia sweetener, causes a reduction of the cells of the immunological system even consumed in low concentrations

Our results showed that Steviol reduces the number of lymphocytes due to falls of CD4+, CD8+, and CD4+CD8+ subpopulations. Besides, we observed an increase in the level of DNA damage and a gradual incidence of structural changes in the lymphocyte chromosomal sets. It was possible to propose that Steviol modulates gene expression, mainly interfering with the SESN1, NAP1L1, SOX4, and TREX1 genes. Although Steviol is used globally as a sweetener, its use should be cautious, as our study points out that Steviol has cytotoxic, genotoxic and mutagenic effects in the concentrations and conditions tested in the culture of human lymphocyte cells.

I bought seeds to grow Stevia this spring but never got them in the ground. From rareseeds.

Are you saying the plant is bad for you?

The raw leaf and its unrefined components are NOT GRAS according to the FDA.

I have a plant on my back porch I was going to try to make an extract with it…. Maybe I don’t really like the taste.

That's the whole point. GRAS doesn't mean ship. Might as well drink nutrasweet if you're going to eat Stevia.

Don't eat ANY sugar if you need to avoid it. Natural only, fruits, coconut water, molasses is pretty good too. No excuse to ignore the facts and continue to poison yourself if you so wish.

I like natural products. I understand it's better to make your own. However, sometimes that is not an option.

Fed up with the Stevia invasion. It needs to get lost!

I just bought some ketchup that had stevia and did not know it. First bite of the hot dog, the dog and the new stevia ketchup bottle right in the garbage. Stuff has a foul taste
