Recurring dream - I find myself back at my first fast food job, I realize I forgot to clock in, etc.
I have this dream about once a month and it's getting old. You'd think I would wake up within the dream by now.

The dream involves me at my current age, going back to work at McDonald's. The people aren't the ones I worked with in high school, but they are absolutely as real! I realize I forgot to clock in..then I forget how long I've been working there..and I start wondering if I have paychecks I need to get from the office. Somehow, I can never find myself there.

And then I'll be away from my job somewhere else, and I'll start obsessing over how many days I've been off work..if I've missed a day, and wanting to go there and find out the next day I work..if I even work there at all. Oh, and to check on my back paychecks again.

I have long, detailed convos with my coworkers, and can even remember their faces and personalities when I wake up. My time at the job usually involves looking for something and never finding it, a conflict with a manager, or having some weird, impossible task to perform, and not being able to carry it out for whatever odd reason.

Are any of you dream interpreterse and have any idea what it might mean. Am I in a real place in the astral plane? Do any of you have a similar recurring dream as this one?

if you don't clock in, you won't get paid.

After I retired from my job, which was working remote from home, I would have dreams of being in various workplaces with coworkers working at some job I never had in real life, then have this horrible feeling of, wait I don’t belong here, I’ve retired, I have to leave. And it would wake me up.
Until I had a talk with myself and said, it’s okay to dream you are working, stop feeling like you don’t belong there. ‘ And immediately after that ‘talk’ I was able to dream about being at work and no more thinking I didn’t belong and waking up.

So maybe if you just tell yourself, ‘ Stop dreaming about being at my McDonalds job, I don’t want anymore’ the dreams will stop
