That being said, I'll have to go with Vaughan on this because he was able to morph himself with unlimited gener and style, whilst Hendrix just did Hendrix.

Technically, sure, but Jimi had lots more range and variety in his playing. SRV played the same songs all of his career...even 10 years before we'd heard them. Too bad both never really had the chance to mature further musically.
