Can't say about the hands. If that isn't normal then they may likely be actors. Front hands could probably be seen as a more aggressive power stance though. Actually the whole thing was aggressive. Closest I see is an air service medal but it is blue not green.

My drill instructor walked us through the command structure of the military. It was supposedly designed I'm such a way that one extremist faction of the government could not control it all.

This is why, back in the day, I made such a big deal about wrongfully using national guard troops in Iraq.
