I don't really care, but the plot from the book this is based on, and the plot of the movie, sound a total rip-off of that big zombie comedy that came out like ten years ago or so, which was based on a book that came out decades ago. It's literally the same plot, just minus the zombie stuff and this one puts them on the road together.

True that religion helped to curb humanities baser instincts, but then, as anything that involves humans, they too were corrupted and fed into their baser desires and wants.

One could argue that they were infiltrated and corrupted from within to turn people away from what had been a unifying force for good.

Either way, once the number of people involved in a thing increases, so increases the chances that thing will be destroyed.
