I used to live across the street from a busy rail line. Sometimes the big trains would brake and sounds like a bomb going off. Especially during winter, it would rumble the house a bit and we were 1/4 mile away. Eventually I got used to it (took a year).

I know what you mean, one of the train drivers lived behind my house. When he would come through town (tiny rural town) he would blow his horn from the state line all the way to town a distance of about 8 miles in the middle of the friggin night. He was letting his wifey know he was rolling though town so he wake everyone else up. :snicker: Where I live now is a semi busy county road but its dead at night so im good as long as the methheads dont get rowdy.
