The difference is tradition.

Something a lot of lefty liberal American's don't follow and don't care about.

And the men in America, unless they are Scottish and walking in a parade, did not wear kilts, ever.

At least to my knowledge.

And the Scottish men don't wear frilly women's wear either.
They wear what they, the MEN, have traditionally worn throughout their history.

That's the difference.

It's a big difference.
