All they really did was reverse a previous SC decision on the basis that the court had no right to rule as it did because abortion isn't in the constitution! There was no federal law and nothing in the constitution about it, therefore the previous decision by that court was wrong. The states can make their own laws regarding it, but, so can Congress if they so choose. The states could appeal such a Federal law arguing that it's a states right since it is not mentioned in the Constitution. |
