You're staring into a "srcy mirror" (black mirror) and you don't even know it.
These black mirrors go back to antiquities, with often queens partaking in such craft. It is a peering into the abyss, with divination information as its purpose.

Imagine the magical electricity that we only learned of a couple hundred year ago shutting off. Imagine how many of us have been staring at black mirrors.

What can be done now, since we didn't humble ourselves to throw away the tracker/emit signal giver?

I wonder what someone from the 1700's might think of all of us gazing like zombies into the black square abyss.

it's pretty crazy.

my main foray into public is my trip to the gym. 99% of the people in there have ear buds in and are looking at their phones in between exercises.

sometimes i just stop and look and recognize that they are all in the same location but are in totally different worlds and i get an alien feeling.

You know a normal mirror, right? Of course.
Way way back in the days proven historically going back a couple two/three thousand years ago there were these mirrors that were black. Their use is historically determined as witchcraft related tools. There are photos of a few of them.
