The entire weekend? This is 100% out of the ordinary. Systems are layered so you can fix each part at a time. This is an entire system shut-down for days.

First, no. Wells Fargo isn't going to be down all weekend. I'm a branch manager for Wells Fargo and there is nothing scheduled to be done to or with our system this weekend.

Second, when maintenance, repairs or upgrades are done, that doesn't mean the entire banking system is down. Sure, the ATM might be down due to repair or network upgrade and you can't withdrawal cash, but you can still utilize your debit card and, in most cases, you can withdrawal cash from an ATM at another bank paying the service charge.

And last, you even said it yourself that systems are layered, yet you still went with the "something big is about to happen". We can take down certain layers of our system, and still be functional. There are a number of safe guards in place that would prevent the entire banking system to be completely down. For this to even happen would be very astronomical and most likely would affect the banking industry as a whole and not just one branch.

As a WF branch manager, I would be very curious what OP's source is that all of Wells Fargo is going to be down all weekend. If any part of our system was scheduled to go down, I would be the first within my branch to know.

Good info, thank you. I happen to know that Wells Fargo has been doing system updates. It probably has more to do with the switch to cashless (so hyperinflation can go unchecked since they don't even have to print the money lol_.

By the way, we're switching to cashless because it's about to become more expensive to print the money than it's worth.

How odd. Am not, have never been a WF customer and yet in the last few days have gotten what I consider spam/phishing emails from WF. I'm like, 'hmmm, something's up.'

I've got an old savings account at WF, and I drew it down to about five hundred bucks over the last few years.

Every time I would go into WF it was filled with illegal aliens, and I barely heard any English being spoken.

I use 4 banks, and none of the others are filled with illegals.

But, but, the guy behind the counter told me, they ordered a mechatronic technician to fix the atm-machine,

but he replied 'Sorry guys!', told them that the needed parts are (new) out of reach, 'maybe ya'll have to wait months or longer'.

Now that the weekend has passed, everyone that has an account at wells fargo has two more accounts now. they are an xrp account, and an xlm account. those two accounts mirror the fiat account. the transition has started.
