KALKI – The Slayer

All glories to you, O Lord of the universe, who will take the form of Kalki. Like a comet, you will appear riding a white horse and carrying a terrible sword. You will come to destroy all wicked people at the end of Kali Yuga.

In the Vedic understanding of time, history passes in cycles of four yugas – Satya, Treta, Dvapara and Kali. Satya Yuga is the age of goodness, but as each age passes goodness is replaced by passion and finally ignorance. By the end of the Kali Yuga – the present age – almost all who remain of the human race will be sinful. The earth will be crowded with a corrupt population and terrorised by merciless rulers. Plants and trees will be tiny. The bodies of all creatures will be reduced in size. Innocent people will be driven by famine and fear to hide in the forests and mountains.

At this time, nearly half-a-million years from now, Kalki comes. He will kill the cruel leaders and the thieves who support them. Then fragrant breezes will purify the world and the minds of the people, bringing Kali Yuga to an end. Those who remain will be left to populate the new golden age of Satya Yuga. Then the whole cycle will start again.



The Kalki Purana (20.33-35) goes on to explain that in His search for the nefarious person known as Kali, Lord Kalki would go to the favorite places of that personality, which were the playgrounds of inauspicious creatures, such as ghosts, foxes and jackals. “These places are permeated with the foul odor of decaying beef, and infested with crows and owls. Kali’s domain can be found wherever there is gambling and intoxication, as well as where women constantly quarrel. Kali’s favorite places of residence are always causes of fear and danger. The men in these places are controlled by women,” meaning they are completely under the demanding sway of gratifying their senses with no moral foundation.

So the offspring of the serpent is made up of spirit creatures and humans who, like Satan, resist Jehovah God and oppose His people. 8. Who is the primary offspring of the woman, and when did he become such? (Genesis 22:15-18)

8 God’s Word also helps us to identify the primary offspring of the woman. This offspring was to be a natural descendant of Abraham. (Read Genesis 22:15-18.) True to the prophecy, Jesus was a direct descendant of that faithful patriarch. (Luke 3:23, 34) But the offspring would have to be more than a human because he was to crush Satan the Devil out of existence. Why did god wait until the new testament before sending a deliverer?

Why not send a deliverer sooner, or simply have a quite word with A & E and avoid that whole genocidal flood thing and a whole bunch of subsequent old testament killing and smiting?
