The US is preparing to escalate its war of attrition against Russia by delivering new modern weapons such as F-16 fighters (with US pilots?), NASAMS, Patriot anti-aircraft systems as well as MQ-1C Gray Eagle increasing the risk of Moscow using tactical nuclear weapons.

A while ago the US president, T.Biden, recognizing that the risk of using tactical nuclear weapons by Russia has increased significantly, warned B.Putin in a public interview not to do so.

Biden's intervention indicates that US agencies have detected signs or movements of tactical nuclear warheads. This fact combined with Russia's refusal to increase ground forces fighting in Ukraine has raised alarm in the US Pentagon.

In an interview on CBS' "60 Minutes" airing Sunday, the US president spoke about Ukraine's recent successes on the battlefield — and the dangers they may pose.

"As Ukraine succeeds on the battlefield, Vladimir Putin finds himself in a difficult position and backed into a corner ," the reporter told Biden.

"And I wonder, Mr. President, what you would say to him if he were thinking of using chemical or tactical nuclear weapons," he continued.

"Do not do it. Non. Non. You're going to change the face of war in comparison to anything else since World War II, " Mr. Biden said.

When the reporter asked what the consequences would be if Putin crossed that red line, the president did not elaborate.

“Do you think I would tell you if I knew exactly what they would be? Of course, I'm not going to tell you. But it will have consequences, " Mr. Biden said.

“They will become more of an outcast in the world than they have ever been. And depending on the extent of his actions, the reaction will be determined," added the US president.

Joe Biden's administration announced in recent days an additional $600 million in military aid to bolster the Ukrainian military to maintain its momentum against Russia.

Ukraine has stopped publicly requesting high-tech weapons from the US, such as Patriot air defense systems, F-16 fighter jets and Gray Eagle drones, as Poltico reveals in its report.

But behind the scenes, talk has not stopped about weapons that could turn the tide of war.

Both sides are debating whether to send all three defense systems as negotiations continue, according to Ukrainian government advisers, Pentagon officials and defense industry officials.

However, in recent weeks there has been a shift from public demand for air defenses and fighter jets to more "quiet negotiations".

This "turn" was proposed by Zelensky's advisers, but also key interlocutors in Washington, along with friendly advice from the Biden administration itself. The US administration has encouraged Kyiv to focus more on what it needs right now to push back Russian forces.

However, talk of acquiring Patriots, F-16s and Gray Eagles continues at a low level. The concerns are not just that the high-tech systems would be challenging for Moscow, but also that the complex maintenance and support of the systems would cause "confusion" for Ukrainian forces in the midst of war.

According to information, the Americans are now positive about the inclusion of these systems in the arsenal of the Ukrainian ED.

As more Eastern European countries abandon older Russian and Soviet systems, they look to the US to begin selling or financing F-16s for their own defense. Already, the delivery of 14 F-16s to Slovakia has been delayed by a year – to 2024 – due to supply chain problems, and Taiwan remains high on the priority list for the aircraft and their parts.

Some of those more complex systems — including the F-16s slated to be retired by the U.S. Air Force — "are likely to arrive after this conflict is over, " a congressional official said.

Regarding the request for Patriot missiles, the US agreed to finance the sale of the NASAMS missile system to Ukraine.

Officials warn that Ukraine's ability to train and use both systems simultaneously would be limited, at best.

A little while ago, the Kremlin responded to T.Biden for the use of nuclear weapons.
