I'm lost guys...how do I know which church to believe? How do I know the Bible hasn't been tampered with?

Hello brother. It is very simple. I speak from experience, invite Jesus into your heart and life. Forget about churches and doctrines. You will begin a new life with Him. Going everywhere together, doing everything together. It is absolutely wonderful. Talk to Him. Tell Him everything. Your worries, fears, hopes, dreams, anything. He is the best friend you could ever have. You become partners in life. I didn't even ask for forgiveness for anything, but I invited him into my heart and life. Wow. It was awesome. After doing this you will start getting the answers you seek. I guarantee.

I seriously don't get how you Americans can't see it.
Literally everything of value in this world has been suppressed or manipulated. You think this magical book made it through? Infact... Why was it pushed upon people via the sword and threats or torture? Because it's a narrative to give your power away. Exactly what they want!

God Loves Everybody.... and wants everybody to live in peace.

What you say, not say to God,... what you think about God - will determine where you go in the next life. Careful with your words friend. Your words are even more important than what you do.... This is because God knows that sometimes we get addicted to stuff / bad habits or habits / vices.

God wants to help people to be loving. People say that 'all paths lead to God'... This is simply not true. If it were, then heaven would be just like earth, but with God sitting in the middle of it. Ain't gonna happen. Not.

How to find out Who this God is.. for sure... Let's see. You can try to use intellect and reason to figure Him out. Sometimes that works.

It's Ok if you don't know for sure. God understands.

The easier and more sure way to know - is just to ask Him directly.

Remember, this is God that you are dealing with. If God wants to respond... it should be easy for Him.. Him being God and all. If God does not respond, then you have your other answer.

For atheists say this out loud: God, the Most High God... I'm not sure Who You are, or even if You exist. But if You do, and if You Love me, then I want to know. Please show me... so that I never doubt Your existence again.

Also, to help with your relationship with God not be stagnant, ask these out loud as well:

- To the Most High God, if you Love me, then just in case I'm not Your child, make me into one.

- To the Most High God, if you Love me, then prepare my heart for whatever is coming, so that I'm ready.

- To the Most High God, if you Love me, then show Yourself to me. I know You from my head. Help me to know You from my heart as well...

- To the Most High God, if you Love me, and if the Christian Jesus is important to Your plans and to my life, please let me know.

Just keep in mind that what you say, or don't say to God - will determine if you go to heaven or hell. Yes it's that important.

And ask humbly. What is that, you ask? Ask as if you were God, and one of your creation were asking you important questions.

Don't let your (bad) daddy-image get in the way of God the Father. Too many do this. Remember, God the Father is Perfect.

King James only is not tampered with. God gives you a Manuel even though the powers that he have all of the advantage. They can't do anything but try to pervert the word of God. That's why they have created hundreds of versions of the Bible based off the KJV.

The Word of God will always be caring, kind, compassionate, benevolent, understanding, uplifting, and empowering to encourage and inspire us to seek God's love for comfort and guidance while we learn to grow spiritually.

Careful of any teachings claiming to be the Word of God that put fear in us, belittle us, divide us, make us more confused, or put us in a hierarchy of superiority. Those teachings are from humans still under the strong influence of the ego which knows not of love, gratitude, compassion, and equality.

If you are asking which denomination gets it 100% right, the answer is none of them.

But the differences in interpretation are generally small, save for Catholicism, which has strayed so far as to be standing in Babylon.

And Mormons and Jehovah Witness folks are not actually Christian. (Mormons believe some crazy, utterly unbiblical stuff.)

Just go with a Baptist or a non-denominational church, and the teachings will be close enough, while you gain the benefits of a Christian community, which can answer your questions as they arise.

As for the biblical texts themselves, we have thousands and thousands of copies in dozens of languages that span more than 2 millennia in age, all which agree with each other, and which predate your 1611 date by 1800 years.

The Dead Sea scrolls/Qumran attest to this.

Unless they had a literally time machine, those 17th century rich guys had no chance in faking the ancient archaeological finds written circa 200 BC.

Likewise, for those letters and scrolls from the NT, there exist extensive commentaries on them from early Christians, such as Irenaeus, circa 130 AD, as well as many, many others from that time period. This, again, predates your 1611 date by some 1500 years.

Read the Bible and get to know Jesus. Don't follow denominations.

Visit your local Church of Christ. You will find many so called Christian denominations but Churches of Christ ere not a demonination. They follow exactly how the early churches worshiped Christ before any demonitations existed. Only one church existed at that time and it still holds true today. If you add or take away from God's word you are not following exactly what he said. And yes they are imperfect people in the church. Why do you think Jesus came in the first place? To save us from our sins. To be reconciled to him. You don't need a priest to confess you sins to. Jesus is the high priest and a person only needs forgiveness from him. You become one if his by hearing his word,believing what he has taught,confess that Jesus is the Son Of God,repenting of your sins and then be baptized for the remission of sins. This puts a person into Christ. Baptism is not a work. It's commanded for us to do. Has to be done by immersion in water. Just believing by itself won't save you. Just as being baptized without belief won't save you. A person is saved by grace through obedient faith. I know I will get some different opinions about this but don't take my word for it. Simply read the Bible. Many have been led astray by false prophets/misguided clergy.

The bishops who gathered merely "chose" various books - at the Council of Rome in 382 - that were already the most popular in the various churches - then translated them into Latin - and printed them for use by CLERGY ONLY.

They had NO control etc...of the network of Christian churches that had been in existence since the apostles had begun establishing them after Christ's ascension.

Rome merely assimilated them, beginning with the Council of Nicea.
