say what you want to about joe but his handling of russia in ukraine is 10/10. russia deserved a kick in the ass after all the shit they have done to us over the past twenty years. snowden, hybrid warfare and meddling in our elections all justify what we are doing to them. he is also saying the right thing about taiwan. all of our most important microprocessors come from tsmc. letting china invade and steal their (our) tech would be a massive mistake and a threat to our security. we are literally curb stomping russia as a blunt warning to china not to try us. now is not a time for strategic ambiguity. china has to be warned that it will cost them everything if they try it. it is also vey cool that biden is carrying over alot of the policies that trump created to counter china. trump was smart to start us on a path of decoupling from china and biden is smart to continue it.

"We agree with what we signed onto a long time ago," the president said. "And that there's one China policy, and Taiwan makes their own judgments about their independence. We are not moving-- we're not encouraging their being independent. We're not-- that-- that's their decision."

"But would U.S. forces defend the island?" Pelley asked.

"Yes, if in fact there was an unprecedented attack," Mr. Biden said.
