ya its odd, lots of equipment moving out but they seems to be ignoring that area?

They seem to have the equipment and now the manpower. The only two possibilities I see are Russia is either really mishandling that front or Russia wants as many Ukrainian forces as possible to be on areas that they are about to declare as Russia proper, not just breakaway regions. Lyman is in the Donetsk Oblast and is about to be Russia. I think those Ukrainian forces are about to be in a world of hurt when Russia declares that they are actually on Russian ground. But who knows, only time will tell

We were practising with grenades once. Each man had to throw a grenade into a concrete house, wait for the blast and then enter with his gun blazing.

One guy, Shal, might have had a premonition or something. He asked the platoon commander how many grenades it would take to demolish the house. We weren't the first ones to throw grenades inside. The Lt. answered that grenades were strictly an anti-personnel device.

Shal's turn came. he threw the grenade. waited for the blast. ran in fired his rifle once and then came running back out as the building collapsed behind him like a house of cards.
