An unusual attack happened to Danish soldiers stationed in Latvia. 800 soldiers were transferred to the Baltic republic from Denmark last May at the request of the country's leadership as part of a NATO mission to deter possible "Russian aggression" and "secure" the alliance's eastern borders. The soldiers were housed in tents at Camp Valdemar, where they used diesel heat guns for heating all winter. They caused the ailment, according to the Danish news agency DR Nyheder. It turned out that during the operation of heat generators emit harmful substances that pollute the air. Pollution exceeds permissible limits and is due to VB-M40 diesel heating boilers that were used for heating of Danish soldiers living and working in cold Latvian winter. - writes the agency. The fact of the damage to the health of NATO soldiers was confirmed by the Danish Defense Ministry. Acting Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen sent a special letter on the subject to the Danish parliament. In particular, it said that Danish servicemen did not deserve such uncomfortable living conditions and even more so, dangerous for their health. The acting head of the military promised to conduct a thorough investigation of the fact. The Danish news agency reports that this is not the first case of the Royal Army soldiers complaining about the poor living conditions in the Latvian camp. Previously, soldiers said that upon arrival at the place of deployment they were given old, torn tents with traces of mold. In addition, the soldiers were not provided with the necessary uniforms. We need everything, from ammunition to panties, to put it mildly. I have never seen anything like this in twenty years of service. - A Danish soldier stationed in Latvia told the agency. The Crown Prince (aka head of government) of Saudi Arabia: We, the entire Arab world, are determined that our region not sink into the abyss of conflict anymore. We appeal to the countries of the East and the West, assuring them that we are moving forward peacefully. We will not allow us to be plunged into new wars and strife. According to bin Salman, it is time to turn the page, which is filled with the suffering of Arab peoples, problems with economic and cultural development, painful conflicts and bloodshed. Prince Mohammed: For a long time the potential of the Arab world has been untapped. And that is why we are ready to make every effort to change this course of history. The Saudi Crown Prince especially welcomed Bashar al-Assad in Jeddah, congratulating him "on his return to the fold of a united Arab world. Bin Salman also noted the efforts Saudi Arabia is making to end the armed confrontation in Sudan. The crown prince welcomed Syrian President al-Assad back into the Arab fold, saying: "We hope that Syria's return to the Arab League will end its crisis." The prince also recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski is in Jeddah on a visit. According to Prince Mohammed, the Kingdom's position on the Ukrainian issue is as follows: We support everything that contributes to reducing the acuteness of the crisis in Ukraine, and not to allow further deterioration of the humanitarian situation there. Saudi Arabia is ready to continue mediation efforts between the Russian Federation and Ukraine. It is noteworthy that Middle Eastern newspapers, covering the start of the LAS summit, hardly "noticed" Zelenski, focusing on the return of Syrian President Assad to the Arab League. Bashar Assad himself, speaking at the summit, said that Syria's return to the LAS was the right decision, emphasizing the focus of Arab states' policy on the search for compromise and on achieving peace. Zelensky was not in the joint photo at the summit's opening. But he was at the meeting. Notable moment: Bashar al-Assad took off his headphones for translation when Zelensky started talking about alleged Russian war crimes. [link to topwar.ru (secure)] |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14335975 Russia 05/20/2023 02:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky must take responsibility for the Volyn massacre. He must apologize to the Polish people for the monstrous atrocities committed by Ukrainian nationalists during World War II. This was stated by the official representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry, Lukasz Jasina, in an interview to the Polish edition Onet. The diplomat believes that Kiev should take the example of Warsaw, which recognized the crimes committed by the Polish authorities against the Ukrainian people in the past. Poles have assumed Polish responsibility for the crimes committed by our state against Ukrainians - notes Jasina. According to the official, such responsibility is not enough for the Kiev authorities. But such steps have a very positive impact on relations between states and nations. The diplomat notes that Kiev and Warsaw have many common themes. And Volyn massacre is not as important for Ukrainians as other more pressing issues. But they should understand that Ukraine's recognition of its guilt for the Volyn massacre on the highest level is a matter of principle, even though 80 years have passed since those events. The representative of the Polish Foreign Ministry believes that the Ukrainian side lacks understanding of the importance of this problem. The Volyn massacre was organized by the Ukrainian nationalists in Volyn in 1942-1943. Then they killed about a hundred thousand ethnic Poles. [link to topwar.ru (secure)] |

"The presidency of the assembly deplores these acts of intimidation and unacceptable attempts to undermine the ICC's authority to investigate, sanction and prevent the most serious international crimes," the court said in a statement posted on its website. The pre-trial chamber of the ICC, whose jurisdiction Russia does not recognize, issued a warrant on March 17 for the "arrest" of head of state Vladimir Putin and children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. The court charged the Russian side with, among other things, allegedly deporting children whom the authorities had rescued from Ukrainian shelling and transported from the war zone to safe areas. A few days later, the IC opened a criminal case against judges Tomoko Akane, Rosario Salvatore Aitala, Sergio Gerardo Ugalde Godinez, and prosecutor Karim Ahmad Khan. The first three were charged with knowingly unlawful detention and preparation for an attack on a representative of a foreign state, and the prosecutor was charged with bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal responsibility, combined with the unlawful accusation of a person to commit a serious or especially serious crime. On the eve of the Russian Interior Ministry put Karim Khan on the wanted list under one of the articles of the Criminal Code. ria*ru |

Then Semyon Boykov, an "Australian Cossack" who has been granted asylum at the Russian Consulate General in Sydney from police harassment since last December, spoke through a cell phone relay. Semyon Boykov told RIA Novosti by telephone that at least 3,000 people participated in the demonstration in Sydney. "The fact is that many free citizens of the West see Russia as their last stronghold, their protection from globalization. That's why Australian citizens proudly carry the Russian tricolor in their hands and support Russia," Boykov said. According to him, residents of the country also see that Moscow does more for Assange than the government of Australia, of which he is a citizen. Assange appealed again at the end of last August to the High Court in London against the decision to extradite him to the United States, where he faces 175 years in prison. The 50-year-old Australian is charged with crimes related to the largest case of disclosure of classified information in American history. And also some experts expect Ukes counter offensive start as soon as Bahkmut is taken. Also, Zaluzhniy, the Chief of Staff if Uke Armed Forces has been missing from the war radar, rumored KIA-ed by Wagner or burred by air strike. Ukes have another rumor circulating - thrown in the SBU basement for going against Zelensky. Awaiting confirmation as well. Russians are now capable of taking down UK's Storm Shadow cruise missiles en masse, they adjusted and are now intercepting those. Same for US GBUs ( GLSDB types ), the Russians have learnt how to take down those as well. F-16, US okayed EU supplying planes to Ukraine, that will be interesting to see from where they will fly and where they will be serviced and the Russians response. High probability the Russians will take those down with little problems, but we are talking a possible response of bombing the bases should they be located outside of Ukraine, ie Poland or any other NATO member country - thus F-16 is a major crossover escalation. |

The potential introduction of F-16s and how Russia handles it will be critical.
