the ID numbers are tracked by 2 things

1.) your present IP
2.) a cookie

if you block cookies that only leaves the IP, if you change that too then the tracking is lost


this does not include google's urchins however - I block these as well (google still tracks you using a sneaky JS method - most people aren't aware of this)

then there's web bugs too - these can be blocked by filtering off-site links and/or looking for web bugs specifically and blocking them
