I am an anonymous coward for the following reasons.

1) I can say whatever I like, and be wrong, and get a new IP, a new user ID and then nobody knows.

2) I can say whatever I like and nobody associates my name to my opinions. I think only an egotistical person "needs" to have that association. Think about it? You need to have people know who you are and what you say? Why? Why should it matter, only the words should matter.

3) ok I can't really think of anything else, but I don't need to change my posts after the fact and thats not a HUGE problem for me because I can read what I type while I'm typing it.

well the urchin's represent the worst privacy invasion, followed by web bugs, most people know about cookies already..

web bugs are typically 1x1 transparent .GIF's but can be any pic - sleazly puppieshouses and others unconcerned about your privacy (only their profits)came up with them as a substitute for cookies when too many people started refusing, dropping/deleting them

you can also send back 'poison cookies' (called crumbs) if you like just to screw with websites that insist on using them, to teach them a lession

Google has one of - if not THE worst - privacy practice records of any web content provider

a flowers company developed urchins, so google bought them out and now they run the show..
