Message Subject Compare God of the Bible with the creator in NDE stories

The God of the Bible was a vengeful ruler who punished peoples and countries/cities. While the God/supreme being/creator in NDE’s is all loving and does not judge anyone. IT only wants you to learn and love.

Lots of apparitions throughout the years threatened destruction if peoples did not repent of their sins.

I am confused about these mixed messages.

God was never vengeful in the Bible. He was JUST (as in justice). There is a massive difference. He brought justice and eliminated evil when it became overwhelming. This does not mean that He was being vengeful or full of hatred to the point of raining down fire from heaven or flooding the world.

Scripture even says that God REGRETTED making man because they were so full of evil all of the time on the Earth. He prepared to end humanity once and for all more in disgust and dismay for justice rather than anger. It was the existence of one good man and his family (Noah) that stopped God from wiping out all the evil. Just ONE good man and his family saved humanity from extinction.

Same goes for Sodom and Gomorrah, God comes down and is going to destroy the cities. At no point is He angry or bitter or full of rage while talking to Abraham about it. He is simply calm, collected and even seems a little sad about it. Abraham asks God if He would destroy the cities if there were just 1 good person (Lot) there and God even says that He would not. Yet He sends angels to remove Lot and his family and then brings justice to the both cities.

God sends the Israelite armies (at the end of the exodus) only to destroy those cities that are evil, wicked and would try and destroy Israel if they marched past and had left them standing. Remember, the world was violent and deadly back in that era. Warfare between cities over territory and loot (especially women) was common, sacrificing children to pagan “gods” was common and the world was savage. You cannot judge that era based on modern humanity and how our world is today. God wasn’t angry, He was simply using Israel to destroy these evil people who were wicked to the core and ruled by the sword before they destroyed Israel. At that point He was doing it with His armies in a collaboration between Him and humans (specifically the ancient nation of Israel).

What the vast majority of people take as “anger” from God is not anger, but justice being done. God will always do what is right and just even if it brings death and destruction. He also knows that dying here on Earth is not the end and that life only ends with the destruction of the soul after He judges you at the great white throne judgement. The penalty of sin is death.

This is why accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior is so critical. It saves you from the destruction of the soul, the TRUE death - the end of your existence.

As for NDEs and God, well, I don’t know how to take all of that or what it means. Except for Paul and Steven, there is nothing else written that alludes to NDE experiences. Paul talks about an NDE he had but doesn’t really describe it in detail. Steven sees heaven open up before him just as he is being stoned to death and describes it to everyone around him just before dying.

I am also fascinated by NDEs and have read thousands. I still don’t know what to make of them. Are they DMT? Are they real experiences? Some are not so easily dismissed as DMT trips, especially NDEs where the person leaves the body, sees everything and hears everything happening to them clearly even when their eyes are taped shut and ears plugged during brain surgery before going off and having an NDE experience and coming back.
