CREDIT SUISSE CRASHED last week. Pope had money there and removed it from Credit Suisse

Credit Suisse has been bust since 2008 - that's when I also ended my clientel with them.

But the real reason for the crash is the rise of the CHF. Strong CHF sucks if you have investments in CHF. But if you want to buy something in other countries, and you get paid in CHF, it's "ok".

Just withdrew 10 grand on friday at CS, no questions were asked.

well thats kinda shocking that a Swiss bank that dates back to the 1850's is in this kind of trouble i cant believe they put themselves in such a hole and in this situation damaging their reputation..

i was just looking at their stock price sitting at 4 bucks a share wondering if its worth taking a chance on them turning things around,,i cant believe they would allow the name and reputation to fail into obscurity

If they're insolvent even $4 is too much, but they could get bought out, that might help.

Reuters reported today that Credit Suisse is speaking with investors about potentially raising capital as the beleaguered bank continues to attempt to turn itself around.


I watched Morgan Stanley go crazy issuing CD's on Saturday. A CD at 4.05% sold out in half a day. They are raising capital ASAP.

yea i dunno if there at the point of insolvency just yet,,i came across this short statement at CNBC so it sounds like they dont need to raise additional capital,but also read current market capitalization is 12 billion with the business currently only being worth 1 to 2.5 bil so its still a sketchy bet..im gonna add it to my stock watch list none the less just to see what happens in the next few years.

The Pope moved the money because in the new Vatican constitution it was required... New constitution had been worked on for years, final draft accepted in March and went in effect in June... It required that all finances be handled by the Vatican bank.. When not enough movement on that had been done, he issued a deadline.
