The Russians nor us have actually used the words that we will use nuclear weapons as far as I know. Both sides dancing around it but implying that we or they will. It's irresponsible of both governments to put their citizens on edge with this crap.

If Ukraine masses troops and armor expect Vlad to use tactical nukes.

If NATO responds militarily, the ONLY rational option for Russia is a full counter-force strike to disarm the West.

Russian strategy is disarm us with that first strike but avoid hitting cities.

At the end of the day, the United States (under Obama-Biden) overthrew the duly-elected President of Ukraine in 2014 and have directed, armed and trained the illegal Kiev Junta that took Yanukovych's place. Ethnic-Russian Ukrainian patriots refused to accept Obama-Biden's violent overthrow of the President of Ukraine in 2014 and what followed was a punitive war of genocide against them by the Kiev Junta with the full support of NATO, beginning with the burning alive of Ukrainian patriots in Odessa. Ukrainians in Crimea saw the violence against ethnic-Russians in Ukraine and refused to accept the illegal overthrow of Yanukovych and held a referendum to join Russia (The United States supported such referendums when they were beneficial, such as during the Balkan conflict, so the precedent was sound and legal). The Minsk Accords were signed by both Ukraine and Russia in order to end 8 years of genocidal, punitive war against ethnic-Russian Ukrainians who refused to accept Obama-Biden's 2014 Maidan Coup. Kiev consistently violated those Accords by refusing to remove heavy weaponry from the line of contact, leading to tens of thousands of innocent dead in the Donbass. As a signatory to those Accords, Russia had every legal and moral right to act militarily when 8 years of diplomacy had failed. All roads lead back to 2014. You will also recall that a big reason Donald Trump won Independent and crossover voter support in 2016 was because many people feared Hillary would escalate in Ukraine and saw Trump, rightly or wrongly, as the peace candidate.
