The LBJ piece seemed a bit over the top, kind of a rambling motivational speech about the promise of tomorrow to a graduating class. He obviously relishes the thought of being able to control the weather though, I'll give you that, but he's not referring to what were then current capabilities either. He was towing the line of American exceptionalism.
